October Brags:

From Ginger Hawkins and Paul Hulsing:

The Kennesaw KC weekend was VERY good to Paul and Ginger and their Border Terrier Bellwether Back in Business!  On Saturday he was BOB over specials for a 5 point major and took a Terrier Group 4.  But he was just getting started.  On Sunday he was BOB over specials for another 5 point major.  He then took a Terrier Group 2, a BBE Group 1 and a Bred By Exhibitor Best in Show awarded by the club's own Neil Bates!   His breeders are Paul, Ginger, and Jan Robinson and he is owned by Paul and Jan.  He is ALWAYS owner handled by Paul and he has accomplished all this at only 10 months old!  

From Monique and Drew Williams:

At the Douglasville KC, Atlanta KC and Newnan KC weekend, Smooth Collie CH Stonebriars When You Believe, Bryn, was BOS one day and BOB two days.  At the Kennesaw KC weekend, she went Select Bitch at the Friday morning Specialty and BOS on Sunday to earn another major and some more singles towards her Grand!  She's getting close!

From Jeff and Cindy Nelson:

At the Douglasville KC show, Shiba Inu Shandell My Cup of Tea, Myah, was WB/BOS over specials to earn her second 4 point major.  She needs 3 singles to finish to give her dam CH Shandell Imagine That ROM her Hall Of Fame title!


September Brags:

From Bud Hidlay: 
9/17/11 – Daisy (MARGARIDA DA CASA DE MAIO) won BOB; She completed her CM Title in Jonesboro with BOB at Griffin Show and Back-to Back BIMISC with competition wins at Sawnee and Lawrenceville
9/18/11 - Miguel (MIGUEL DA CASA DE MAIO) took BIMISC with competition for 2 points. Now has 11 of the 15 points required for CM

Both had previously qualified for Eukanuba.


From Cindy and Jeff Nelson:  Our Shiba girl, Hana, is now Bronze GCH Ranchlake's Aki Kohana AOM.  Hana was BOS at the Chattanooga KC show to earn her last 3 points for her Bronze GCH.  She is only the 10th Shiba to earn this title!   Our new dog Rok-Eee, Tanasea Eye of the Tai-Grr was WD in Raleigh his first show weekend to earn his first two points.  Rok-Eee is here from VA  to be finished and perhaps be our new special next year.  Time will tell!  Finally,  Myah, Shandell My Cup Of Tea,  was WB/BOW the final day in Raleigh. 

From Monique Williams:  Smooth Collie, Ch. Stonebriars When You Believe, Bren, had a terrific weekend at the Chattanooga shows!  Out with her new friend, Cindy Nelson, Bren won BOV for a 4pt major on Saturday!  On Sunday, Bren and Cindy earned another 2 points by going select over multiple specials!  Great job!


August Brags:

From Cindy and Jeff Nelson: The Cherokee Rose Cluster in ATL was very good to us! On Thursday, our little Myah was WB and her big sister "Hana" GCH Ranchlake's Aki Kohana AOM was BOS. Friday, Myah's sister Jamaica was WB for a major and Hana was Select Bitch. Saturday, Jamaica finished with a 3 point major, giving her dam "Magi" our Ch. Shandell Imagine That her ROM!!! Jamaica's sire "Woofie" Multi Ch GCH Tanasea Tetsu Go Taimatsu AOM took the breed and Hana was BOS. On Sunday, "Jamaica" who is now Ch. Nikoniko Jamaica Mistaica AOM was Select Bitch her first time in the ring as a special over other bitch specials! Jamaica was shown to her Select by Monique Williams---only her third time in the Shiba ring :)  Jamaica is "Woofie's" sixth CH so he just needs two more for his ROM. 

From Monique Williams:  On her first outing as a special, Smooth Collie Ch. Stonebriar's When You Believe, received Select over other specials, handled by Cindy Nelson on Friday of the Cherokee Rose Cluster, earning Bren her first 2 points towards her Grand Championship!

April Brags:

From Cindy Nelson:
CoCo Puff (Ranchlake's Heavenly Chocolate) strikes again.  She was WB/BOS at the Silver Bay KC of San Diego.  The following weekend at the Scottsdale AZ Dog Fanciers Association, she was WB for a four point major (her second).  Her big brother Kash, Ranchlake Riverview Okami took WD/BOW at that same show for his own four point major. 

Their sister, Jamaica, is now Nikoniko Jamaica Mistaica AOM.  Jamaica was WB/BOS/Best Puppy/Puppy Gr 3 and was given an Award of Merit over two specials at the Hilton Head Island KC shows.  The next day she took WB/BOS.  She is on her way!   Jamaica joins her big 1/2 sister Hana as a fourth generation AOM winner.

Bowmanor’s Clark Bar RA, Toy Fox Terrier, earned his Canine Good Citizen at the KKC CGC test on March29th!

From Monique Williams:
Monique is pleased to have been endorsed by the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, NADOI. Established in 1965, NADOI is the oldest organization in the United States that endorses obedience instructors. Membership is contingent upon experience and a demonstrated knowledge of training and instructing skills.

On March 22, the Williams’ family lost beloved family member, Ch. Bo-Dandy’s Alibi, Smooth Collie.

Frito, Ch Stonemaple's Snack Time AX, AXJ earned his Junior Earthdog (JE) title on Sunday, February 13th at the Atlanta Terrier Club's Earthdog trials at The Canine Ranch in Canton, GA.
 
Rea, Ch Stonemaples Freedom, has been invited to participate in the Eastern Regionals of the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge. She will be competing in the Jack Russell hurdle racing event on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, GA.
 
From Cindy Nelson:
At the Sun Maid Kennel Club of Fresno, CA,  Shiba Inu CoCo, Ranchlake's Heavenly Chocolate bred by us, continued her winning streak by going WB/BOW from the 9-12 puppy class.  And that same weekend, her sire Woofie, AKC, FCI, Mexican, Ch of Americas, Dutch, Belgian, German, German Club Sieger, CH Tanasea Tetsu Go Taimatsu, AOM, who has taken up permanent residence with us, went Select Dog at the Conyers and Lawrenceville shows for his final two majors towards his Grand Championship. He now just needs a few singles to become the third generation GCH following two of his daughters Hana and Bunny(who were the first two Shiba GCH bitches and among the first ten Shiba GCH) and his granddaughter Betsy.

Since the last issue of the Newsletter, Bowmanor’s Clark Bar RA, Toy Fox Terrier owned by Chris Bowker was entered in two more shows, Lawrenceville K.C. and Greenville K.C., and earned two legs toward his Rally Excellent title.  One more to go!

Kennesaw Kennel Club welcomes its newest member into the world! On January 24th, Stephanie Gibson delivered a healthy 8 1/2 pound baby boy! Congratulations Stephanie, Joyce, & Jim!

From Cindy Nelson:
Shiba Inu, Ranchake's Heavenly Chocolate, aka CoCo, bred by Cindy and Jeff Nelson, and owned by Dorothy Warren of Saratoga, CA, went BOB puppy her first time in the ring under a Japanese breeder judge, and went on to a Puppy Group 2 in tough CA competition.  The next day she went reserve to a 5 point major--all this from the 6-9 month puppy class.  Her next show weekend, she took a 3 point major, again from the 6-9 month puppy class.  Big things are expected from this little CoCo puff.  She is baby sister to GCH Ranchake's Aki KohaNa, AOM, #1 bitch from 2009--Coco has princess paws to fill and has not disappointed so far.
From Debbie Hollan: Congratulations to Debbie’s newest champion, Ch. Destiny’s Lay All Your Love On Me, for finishing at the Jackson, MS shows!

From Chris Bowker: After Chris Bowker’s Toy Fox Terrier, Bowmanor’s Clark Bar earned his Rally Novice title in 3 shows, we tackled the Rally Advanced classes, and again, in 3 straight shows (and a first place), he added an RA to the end of his name.  We are now working on his Rally Excellent!

From Monique Williams: Smooth Collie, Jag-View Stonebriar No Fair Still No Hair, was Winners Dog for a 3 point major at the Piedmont Collie Club Specialty on Saturday, January 22nd.  On January 23rd, Bailey was Winners Dog/Best Opposite Sex over specials at Piedmont Collie Club for 4 point major.  Bailey is 6 months old and these were his first shows! Bailey was handled by co-owner Christine Laughlin.
